A flight over dreams…
[synopsis] The sound journey of a dragonfly (symbol of the island of Hondo, Japan) gone nocturnal on a full moon evening. The buzzing of its wings, a sign of freedom and escapism, leads us through fantastic worlds and various cultures as we journey pass oceans, quiet volcanos and outer space. Its flight is so powerful, nothing can stand in its way. Her grace, light and pure, perfectly matches the lightly golden moon beam. Everything is so quiet in the evening
Libellune is structured in eight parts (Métamorphose [Metamorphosis]
The integration of musical vocabularies from world cultures — an evocation of structures and timbres — illustrates the libellune’s journey. The wind instruments, improvising from oriental, African, Javanese and Latin music scales, polyphonic forms and rhythms, are later used as a discrepancy (echo), shaded and out of phase
