Łukasz Gothszalk
Łukasz Gothszalk is regarded as one of the outstanding trumpet player of his generation.
He graduated from Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany), Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Netherlands), Manhattan School of Music (New York City, USA), Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin (Germany) and Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel, Switzerland) studying with the world’s leading mentors Reinhold Friedrich, Edward H Tarr, Mark Gould, Friedemann Immer, Frits Damrow, and William Forman.
In spite of his passion for Jazz, Łukasz Gothszalk dedicated most of his career into baroque and contemporary music.

He has collaborated with conductors Pierre Boulez, Simon Rattle, Péter Eötvös, François-Xavier Roth, Reinhard Goebel, Beat Furrer, Clemens Schuldt, Eugene Tzigane, Jacek Kaspsrzyk, Johannes Skudlik, and Rüdiger Bohn.
Contemporary music constitutes an important part of his career. As a member of the International Ensemble Modern Academy (Frankfurt on Main, Germany) and a member of the Lucerne Festival Academy (Switzerland), Łukasz Gothszalk has worked with many of the leading exponents of new music. He is one of the rare soloists whose repertoire encompasses the challenges of composers such as György Ligeti, Bernd Alois Zimmermann, and Luciano Berio.
He has performed in several countries including his native Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Japan, China, South Korea, South Africa, Jordan, and the USA.
