The final part of a trilogy composed during the pandemic, this trilogy holding a mirror to it. Anger (L’hubris du monde), the spark that sets everything on fire; daytime nightmares (L’odeur du soufre), and fires; the last feverish flames (Fin de crise), and the promise of clearer skies, with birds, locusts, liberating wing beats, signs of hope.
I chose stereophony to release the audience from immersive horror (the quadraphonic L’odeur du soufre) so that they can perceive a horizon that stretches far away in front of them, and from which emerges a light, the long-awaited end of the crisis.
