Antithèse électronique

As an introduction, here is a piece that represents everything the other works on this album are not: electronic sounds, synthesis, pure sounds, white noise, beats, specific materials, punk-style one-minute tracks. Perhaps it evokes a certain form of labelling refusal, or something like that. The track’s rhythm is actually borrowed from my favorite math / core / grind / punk band… Can you recognize it?

[English translation: François Couture, xi-11]

Antithèse électronique [Electronic Antithesis] was realized between January and May 2011 at the composer’s studio. Thanks to Pierre Alexandre Tremblay, University of Huddersfield, Perte de signal, and Fonds de recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC). I would also like to thank Jean-François Denis at empreintes DIGITALes.
