La paix de l’entendre
Bernard Fort
Programme notes
To Philippe Leroux for his ardour in battle, to François Bayle for Transparence du purgatoire
Half a century of moving back and forth between the Doing and the Listening… an eternity between war and peace.
The Doing, a constant battle fought by the composer in his fortress, the studio
Through a simple audition, this work intends to share what I once was lucky to hear and what I think I understood from it. A sunrise in the Delta of the Danube. A trivial autumnal watery landscape
Developments around a panoramic sound recording from a small boat at the center of a gigantic lake. The ordinary scenes of a pallid little morning
To fix time on media (the proofs of time), then to penetrate it through slow motion, to experiment with duration (the test of time), to explore the depth of acoustic images
